Best Ever?
Serena Williams has braced the front cover of this month's edition of Sports Illustrated - with the caption; Love her, Hate her. She's the Best Ever.Okay, so I have nothing against Serena Williams at all. Nothing at all. But she's surely not the Best Ever? Rere is absolutely freaky, better than I'll ever be, but I don't think she's exactly GOAT-material as of yet... I think that title currently goes to Steffi Graf or Margaret Court or something.
But of course there's no other celebration like a Twitter celebration. She sounds stoked, but I just can't quite put my finger on it.. CONGRATS, RERE! :)

Cowabunga!
:O Just went to the ATP and WTA Tour sites to look at the rankings and woweeeeeeeeee... Wimbledon can do an awful lot to you! Let's have a look:
ATP WORLD TOUR RANKINGS
1. Rafael Nadal (ESP)
2. Novak Djokovic (SRB)
3. Roger Federer (SUI)
4. Andy Murray (GBR)
5. Robin Soderling (SWE)
6. Nikolay Davydenko (RUS)
7. Juan Martin del Potro (ARG)
8. Tomas Berdych (CZE)
9. Andy Roddick (USA)
10. Fernando Verdasco (ESP)
The Verdict: Okay, it was expected, but still, WTF happened here! Rafa, after winning Wimbledon, has moved wayyy ahead of the pack - expected. But Federer has moved down 2 places to no.3. Whoa. When was the last time that happened?... 1952?! The Muzz is still no.4 after executing another semi-final finish, while Soderling has moved up to no.5... 5! Berdych has re-entered the top 10 in no.8, which pushes A-Rod to no.9 :( and also puts him into the race for the World Tour Finals. Tsonga is out of the top 10 even with a Quarters showing. Yikes.
And yeah. I'm not even gonna bother with the WTA Rankings because they don't really look like they've been updated yet. This is why I love the ATP.

Yep. So I recently found the updated and refreshed rankings in the WTA. Well geez, that took a while, didn't it?! Anywho, drumroll please...
SONY ERICSSON WTA TOUR RANKINGS
1. Serena Williams (USA)
2. Jelena Jankovic (SRB)
3. Caroline Wozniacki (DEN)
4. Venus Williams (USA)
5. Sam Stosur (AUS)
6. Elena Dementieva (RUS)
7. Kim Clijsters (BEL)
8. Francesca Schiavone (ITA)
9. Vera Zvonareva (RUS)
10. Na Li (CHN)
The Verdict: Rere keeps her WTA crown. Because Venus sorta sucked this time around, she's dropped to no.4 pushing Jankovic and Wozniacki up. Sam Stosur, despite a poor performance, has moved up to a career best of no.5 (WOO!) while Dementieva, not even playing this year, drops only one place to no.6. Clijsters has gone one better while Schiavone sucked... dropping one place. Vera, after reaching her first ever slam final, has moved up 235412024 spots to no.9 and Li, having a good grass season is once again at no.10.
Wow the WTA is really messed up, isn't it :?
